Deep conditioning is key to maintaining natural hair. Yes, natural hair needs water and moisture. Find a deep conditioner that works for you. I make my own using the Cantu Shea Butter Condtioning Repair Cream as my base. When you get home in the evening or on the weekend, liberally apply your conditioner and place a plastic shower cap on your head for as long as you want. Using your body's natural heat, deep condition your hair til your heart is content. I do this once a week.

Change is Good
I went camping over the memorial day weekend. I never would have done it if my hair wasn't natural. My husband said, "B, every since you went natural, you have been open to trying new things." Such a simple statement, such a massive meaning....I started living at 35....more new adventures to come.

Chris Rock, Good Hair
I believe Paul Mooney (I hope that's his name) the comedian that said"relaxers relax white people" is not a true statement! Since I began this natural hair journey, I have found quite a bit of support from the caucasian community. I can't really put my finger on it as to why but it is a pleasant surprise. let's be real.....life after the "big chop" is a constant pep talk and reminder of why you chose this journey, lol, but for real.
